A small jungle lodge above Golfo Dulce

Simple living · Real food · Open views · Deep rest

Hidden high in the rainforest of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula, Balsa Nueva is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember what truly nourishes you. An invitation into a slower, fuller life—close to the land.

Balsa Nueva Lodge

Balsa Nueva Lodge is a family-owned place rooted in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, held and cared for by the same family for two decades.

What was once open pastureland has slowly transformed through years of reforestation, becoming a thriving secondary forest. Today, the land is alive—home to birds, wildlife, and the quiet rhythms of the jungle.

Perched high in the hills of La Balsa, Balsa Nueva offers wide views of the Golfo Dulce, a cooler mountain climate, and deep immersion in one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth.

Born from a love for the land and a commitment to conservation, Balsa Nueva is a place shaped by time, simplicity, and respect for nature—an open invitation to slow down and live close to what truly matters.
